We’re Sunny and Justin, two relentlessly curious, happily geeky creators based in Baltimore. ArtsyGeeksy is the home we built for the many things we make, study, play, cook, write, record, design, and occasionally become far too interested in at three o’clock in the morning.
Justin is a musician, mathematical thinker, programmer, photographer, and enthusiastic builder of complicated systems. By day, he works in quantitative analysis and economic modeling, using mathematics and code to make sense of markets and uncertainty. Away from the spreadsheets, he is usually at the piano, recording classical music with a particular love for the Romantic and early modern repertoire. Whether he is studying a score, writing Python, adjusting photographic lighting, or tinkering with his homelab, he is drawn to the underlying structure that makes everything fit together.
Sunny is an artist, writer, musician, designer, cook, storyteller, and creative whirlwind with more ideas than any reasonable number of notebooks can contain. Her curiosity has led her from recipe development and food history to digital illustration, songwriting, fantasy novels, tabletop world-building, astronomy, mythology, and the firm conviction that Hatch chiles may be humanity’s greatest agricultural achievement. She is always learning something new, making something strange, or finding a way to connect subjects that looked completely unrelated five minutes earlier.
Together, we have spent more than seventeen years chasing creativity, collecting hobbies, debating cornbread, filling our home with books and art supplies, and helping one another turn improbable ideas into real things. ArtsyGeeksy brings those adventures together: original art and merchandise, classical music and musical storytelling, recipes and food explorations, tabletop gaming resources, and articles about history, science, culture, the sky, and whatever else has captured our attention.
The subjects may vary wildly, but the thread connecting them is simple: curiosity, creativity, and the joy of understanding how things work. We believe life is better when you keep learning, keep making, and leave plenty of room for the unexpected.
